Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 October 2026

Guess The Age (“the app”) is a single‑player game made by Dylan Pinheiro (“we”, “us”). This policy explains exactly what the app stores, where it goes, and how to get rid of it.

At a glance

1Data we collect

Account

On first launch the app signs you in anonymously through Supabase Authentication. This creates a random account identifier stored on your device. You can optionally add an email address and password to save your progress across installations. Supabase Authentication stores these account credentials and handles confirmation emails; we do not see your password in plain text. We do not ask for your phone number or real name.

Gameplay data

As you play, we store on our server, linked to your account ID:

This is used only to run the game — avoiding repeat cards and showing your profile stats.

Topic suggestions

If you use the optional “Suggest a topic” form, we receive the text you write and, only if you choose to add it, an email address so we can reply. Leave the email field blank and the suggestion is anonymous. Suggestions are sent to us by email and kept so we can act on them.

On‑device storage

The app caches game content, account settings, and a short queue of not‑yet‑synced game actions in local storage on your device, so it keeps working offline. Game actions and settings sync to the server when you reconnect.

2Data we do not collect

We do not collect your name, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos or files from your device, or any advertising identifiers. The app contains no ads and no third‑party analytics, attribution, or tracking SDKs.

3Third‑party services

Supabase
Backend host — authentication, database, and content storage. Processes gameplay data on our behalf; does not use it for its own purposes. Data is stored in the EU (Ireland).
Resend
Email delivery for topic suggestions you submit, including your email address if you provided one. Supabase Authentication also sends account confirmation emails.

Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy (supabase.com/privacy, resend.com/legal/privacy-policy).

4Celebrity content

Photographs and biographical facts (name, date of birth, date of death) shown in the game come from Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons. This is publicly available information about public figures; it is not personal data about you. If you are featured and want to be removed, contact us at the address below.

5Retention & deletion

6Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). On the server, row‑level security rules mean one account cannot read or modify another account’s data.

7Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data (for example, an email in a suggestion), contact us and we will delete it.

8Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be noted in the app.
